Regional Forum on Effective Prevention of Corruption through Risk Assessment

  • 25.10.2017-26.10.2017
  • Ljubljana, Slovenia

The Regional Cooperation Council and the Regional Anti-corruption Initiative , in cooperation with Slovenian Commission for Prevention of Corruption, and supported by the Austrian Development Agency are organizing the Regional Forum on Preventing Corruption Through Efficient Identification of Risks in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on 25-26 October, 2017.

One of the key actions of the Southeast Europe 2020 Strategy is to introduce clear and transparent rules of access to public services, thus increasing public institutions’ integrity level. In this context, two preventive measures have been enhanced throughout the region in the recent years – corruption risk assessment and anti-corruption assessment of laws. To capitalize on the momentum created by the institutions, this Forum will discuss the progress achieved and the challenges faced with introduction and implementation of these preventive measures, with particular focus on practical implementation and innovative approach.

For these reasons, the Forum will bring together relevant representatives of ministries of justice, anti-corruption bodies and non-governmental organizations from Southeast Europe who worked together to implement the RCC Methodologies on Anti-corruption Assessment of Laws and on Corruption Risk Assessment in Public Institutions.
