Presentation of Investment Policy Review of South-East Europe

21 November 2017 Geneva, Switzerland

The Presentation of the Investment Policy Review (IPR) of South East Europe (SEE), the first of the kind, is being organized within the context of the ninth session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Investment, Enterprise and Development Commission.

IPR is the first regional review conducted by UNCTAD in cooperation with the RCC’s South East European Investment Committee (SEEIC) and it was finalized upon extensive consultations with national stakeholders from all SEE economies.  The findings and recommendations of this study will represent a cornerstone for implementation of the investment policy reform and regional investment promotion agenda under the framework of Multiannual Action Plan for Regional Economic Area, where the RCC is tasked as the main facilitator.

The event is to provide a platform for the economies of SEE to highlight progress on investment policy reform and cooperation, facilitate exchange of best practices, with UNCTAD member states, including development partners but also to showcase South East Europe as investment destination.

The meeting will gather South East European Investment Committee (SEEIC) economic teams, representatives of private sector, and development partners and missions in Geneva.
