RCC and UNECE heads discuss ways of fostering sustainable economic growth in South Eastern Europe

SARAJEVO – Identifying ways of fostering sustainable economic growth in South Eastern Europe was the main topic of today’s meeting in Sarajevo between the RCC Secretary General Hido Biscevic and the Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), Marek Belka.

"We discussed the ways our two organizations can cooperate to the benefit of the citizens of our part of Europe in the fields of transport, energy, trade, environment, gender and social issues," said RCC Secretary General Biscevic.

Relevant officials of the two organizations also held a face-to-face meeting to introduce each others with details of the RCC and UNECE programmes of importance to South Eastern Europe, and to discuss areas of future joint engagement.
