Hate speech, various forms of racism and xenophobia are spreading increasingly through social networks while machine-learning based techniques are becoming more efficient in tracking written and video content.

The goal of this CERRE roundtable is to explore the opportunities and the risks of using machine-learning techniques to fight hate speech. The event will also provide an opportunity to discuss the rules which should be adopted on platforms to maximise welfare and protect fundamental rights.
