Council of Europe regional conference on addressing radicalisation in prisons in WB region

During 22 – 23 October 2019, a regional conference in Sarajevo will launch the beginning of a new regional project on addressing violent extremism and radicalisation in prisons in Western Balkans, implemented under the auspices of the Horizontal Facility II Programme for Western Balkans and Turkey, funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe, with a duration of 36 months. It will provide for forum of sharing experience, information and practices among the six HF Beneficiaries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia) on the different approaches in the Western Balkan penitentiary and probation systems when it comes to addressing the issue of radicalisation in prisons.
