Donor Coordination Process

The start of annual donor coordination is marked by the finalisation of the SEE 2020 Programming Document, which identifies the main priorities for the next three years. Therefore the RCC organises direct consultations with the relevant donors active in the region in order to communicate the priorities identified during the programming process. This phase occurring  during the months January and February.

This step is followed by the meeting on Donor Coordination in the Western Balkans, gathering representatives of major donor organisations and international financial institutions, as well as implementing agencies, regional initiatives, beneficiaries and administrations from the SEE. It is organised by the RCC in mid-March in Sarajevo.

The objective of the Annual Meeting on Donor Coordination in the Western Balkans is to map and coordinate donor activities in the Western Balkans so as to help achieve a better alignment of regional governments’ development priorities and donors’ sectoral interventions.

The meeting gathers representatives of major donor organisations and international financial institutions, implementing agencies, regional initiatives, beneficiaries and administrations from the SEE. Itis held once a year in Sarajevo.
