The seminar discusses how to increase the effectiveness of the prevention of violent extremism and provides a platform for exchanging experiences on efforts already taken. In the context of counter-terrorism, preventing violent extremism is a priority not only for Finland’s Presidency of the Council of the EU but for the EU at large. During the seminar, experts will examine the topic with regard to research data and practical experiences and from the perspective of the authorities.
