The South East European National Security Authorities (SEENSA) to meet at 10th NSA Heads Meeting
Directors and representatives of National Security Authorities from 13 South East Europe participating economies will meet on 27 November under the Chairmanship of Bulgaria and with support of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), to discuss on the reinforcement of the cooperation among SEENSA Participants in the field of personnel and industrial security of classified information and agree on the future of the SENSA platform as regards the advancement of the regional cooperation on core security issues.
The 10th meeting of SEENSA takes place in a critical moment of increased pace of COVID-19 and its negative impact on security issues in the region. Joint addressing of common security challenges gains particular importance as almost half i.e. 46% of Western Balkans citizens are unhappy with the overall security situation in their economy, and close to two thirds of citizens across the region (63%) perceive migration as a security risk to their economy.
Directors and representatives of National Security Authorities will also discuss on the usage of classified information in judicial proceedings, common trainings standards of classified information and technical modalities for future SEENSA meetings with a view to further strengthening the mechanisms of security regional cooperation.
