SENSA Working Group: “Reflective Workshop on the Intersections between the Security Awareness and the Security Aspects of Classified Information”

At the 11th Meeting of the Heads of South East Europe National Security Agencies (SEENSA) that was held on 30 November 2021 under the Chairmanship of Bosnia and Herzegovina and with the support of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), it was agreed that the next SEENSA Chairmanship will be hosted by the National Security Authority (NSA) of North Macedonia.

Within this year-long Chairmanship, the NSA NM CiO, in partnership and with the support of the RCC, is organizing a result-driven online event: “Reflective Workshop on the Intersections between the Security Awareness and the Security Aspects of Classified Information”, on April 28, 2022.
 
The WG meeting aims at exploring points of convergence between security awareness and the security aspects of classified information from national, regional, and Euro-Atlantic perspectives. In particular, it will put an emphasis on the NATO and EU security awareness frameworks will explore intersections between the security of classified information and general data protection as well as the right for access to public information, and will showcase concrete security awareness-raising mechanisms from across SEENSA participating states.

SEENSA is a platform for the cooperation of national security authorities at the regional level in SEE, co-organized by the RCC. SEENSA initiative is striving towards a goal which is to promote regional security cooperation between relevant actors and to move up the European integration of the region.
