The Criminal Police Directorate of the Slovenian Police and the IISG Support Group hosted by DCAF Ljubljana are organizing the “Meeting of the Counter-Terrorism Initiative (CTI) Network” in Portorož, Slovenia, from 23th – 25th October 2018. The Meeting is supported by the Western Balkan Counter-Terrorism Initiative–WBCTi (EU IPAII2016 Multi-Country Action “Support to Prevention and Countering Violent Extremism in the Western Balkans”) and by the Slovenian Ministry of the Interior – Police via the Internal Security Fund (ISF).

The focus of the meeting will be on the exchange of experience and strategic information on Prevention and Countering of Violent Extremism (P-CVE) cases and on the experience, challenges, and tools for our improved joint operational response. The discussion will also be dedicated to the issue of sufficient financial support for operational activities and operational meetings. The Meeting will offer an opportunity to review the implementation of the CTI Plan of Action 2018-2020 and to familiarise again with the relevant future actions under the auspices of the WBCTi Integrative Plan of Action 2018-2020.
