Established in July 2017 by the European Commission, the High-Level Commission Expert Group on Radicalisation (HLCEG-R), whose task was to offer advice on ways to improve cooperation among stakeholders and Member States, the further development of policies for the prevention of radicalisation, and a mechanism for future structured cooperation in this area, published on 13th June its final report. The latter encompasses recommendations for further action in priority areas (radicalisation in prisons; online propaganda and communication; ideology and polarisation; cooperation at the local level; education and social inclusion; and children returning from conflict zones or raised in a radicalised environment), together with recommendations on cooperation mechanisms and proposals for its future implementation.
