Objective(s)
The main objective of the project was to provide equal conditions and educational opportunities for young people with disabilities (wheelchair users, hearing impaired and sight impaired) as their peers in primary and secondary schools.
Key Activities
Activities included an insight into the current state of accessibility and adaptability of schools for students with disabilities. Schools and relevant institutions were offered expert, feasible and cost-effective conceptual solutions to make schools accessible to people with disabilities. Online access to information on the locations, details and accessibility of schools in the Sarajevo Canton, With the ability to include information from other FBiH Cantons and RS, they have made it easier for PWDs and their parents to find better education solutions through an online map. Institutions and organizations were actively involved in lobbying and campaigns to address accessibility issues.
Target groups
The project was implemented in Sarajevo Canton and involved about one hundred primary and secondary schools. The target group was primarily children with disabilities.
