The RCC Roma Integration Action Team organizes a regional meeting that will bring together the primarily responsible officials dealing with civil registration. The purpose of this meeting is to find modalities on how to modify legislations, find some new administrative solutions and possible access models to the identification and civil registration documents while raising awareness of the relevant actors about the problem of lack of identification documents of Roma.

The regional meeting will present official and non-official statistical data, a brief overview of the current challenges and the way forward vis-à-vis the specific pledges made by Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia at the UNHCR Executive Committee’s High-Level Segment on Statelessness, held in October 2019.
