RCC SG for "EUpravo zato"

In the interview for "EUpravo zato" initiative, Amer Kapetanović, Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), emphasizes that the EU's Growth Plan offers a historic opportunity for the Western Balkans to accelerate European integration and economic development. He notes that while the region is closer to EU membership than five years ago, significant reforms and political maturity are still needed. The Growth Plan, valued at approximately 6 billion EUR, aims to bridge the socio-economic gap between the Western Balkans and the EU by fostering regional cooperation, economic integration, and access to parts of the EU's single market. Kapetanović highlights strong public support for regional collaboration, citing that 82% of citizens favor such efforts, and stresses the importance of transforming this consensus into tangible actions to ensure a prosperous future for the region.
