Kapetanovic spoke about how regional cooperation is essential for the Western Balkans’ credible path to EU membership, not just as a political formality but as a strategic necessity in a fragmented and uncertain global context. He stressed that closer cooperation - through economic integration, mobility, digital and green transitions, and trust-building - is key to making the region more competitive, predictable, and attractive to investors. Kapetanovic highlighted the role of RCC in turning commitments into practical results and calls on governments, the EU, and businesses to prioritize implementation over rhetoric, warning that without stronger cooperation and trust, the region risks remaining politically relevant but economically overlooked.
