The Methodology for Development of the Integrative Internal Security Governance (IISG) Biennial Needs Mapping Report sets out a structured process for identifying, validating and prioritising the legislative, institutional and operational security needs of the Western Balkans Six across the three IISG pillars.
It defines the roles of IISG, the IISG Support Group and participating partners throughout the preparation, formulation, approval and integration of findings into the secure IISG Database, while linking identified needs to European Union standards and enlargement priorities. By establishing a common approach to analysing prevention and response gaps, consulting relevant stakeholders and consolidating findings, the methodology supports evidence-based planning, improved coordination of assistance and more targeted regional security responses.

The Methodology for Development of the Integrative Internal Security Governance (IISG) Annual Response Mapping Report establishes a structured process for recording and analysing how Western Balkans Six partners and other IISG participants respond to identified security needs across the three IISG pillars.
It defines the preparatory, development, approval and database-entry phases, as well as responsibilities for collecting, validating and consolidating information on legal frameworks, institutional arrangements, capacity-building support, and coordination and cooperation. By linking mapped responses to European Union (EU) enlargement priorities and the findings of the needs-mapping process, the methodology supports the identification of gaps, overlaps and opportunities for improved coordination, while ensuring that approved findings inform the IISG Database and publicly available annual summaries.

Public Opinion Survey on Security issues – Western Balkans SecuriMeter is the first-ever regional Public Opinion Survey on Security. The survey reveals what Western Balkans citizens think about security, organised crime, migrants, online radicalisation, owning a gun, fake news and many more issues that can help inform interested regional stakeholders and provide better understanding of the overall regional security.
The Western Balkans SecuriMeter is the first-ever Public Opinion Survey on Security issues conducted by Indago among more than 6.000 citizens of the Western Balkans as a venture of the Regional Cooperation Council in cooperation with IISG, UNDP/SEESAC, MARRI, DPPI- SEE and OBCT.
