RCC brings contemporary ballet performance of the National Theatre in Belgrade “Oni/They “ to Sarajevo

Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) supports Ballet of the National Theatre in Belgrade to take it’s contemporary ballet performance “Oni/They “ to the stage of the Sarajevo National Theatre within the Sarajevo Winter Festival. The performance will take place in Sarajevo on  Wednesday, 7 March 2018, starting at 19:30 hrs.

“Oni/They” is an awarded contemporary choreodrama, inspired by true events in Russia at the of the 20th century.  

The dance performance “Oni/They “  received the prestigious "Terpsihora" award for best directing and choreography, signed by the artist Djordje Makarevic, as well as the "Belgrade Edit Culture" award for the best contemporary performance. The ballet  was the guest of the "13th Belgrade Festival Games "representing Belgrade and Serbia, alongside the biggest ballet productions and choreographers from the world. The roles are interpreted by dancers and soloists of the Ballet of the National Theater Belgrade.

With this project RCC is continuing its support to the culture in the region. In the past RCC supported numerous projects in the area of cultural exchange and cooperation in the region, including: a guest performance of  “Gospodja ministarka” (“The Lady Minister”) by the Bosko Buha theatre from Belgrade in Sarajevo in December 2014;  Sarajevo National Theatre “Balkanski spijun u Sarajevu” (“Balkan spy in Sarajevo”) in Zvezdara theatre in Belgrade, and one-man hit show “Glumac je… glumac je… glumac” (“Actor is…actor is…actor”) of  the popular Bosnia and Herzegovina’s actor, writer and director, Zijah Sokolovic at “Qendra Multimedia” arts and cultural centre in Pristina, both in December 2015; “Romeo and Juliet” produced by Belgrade-based “Radionica Integracije” and “Quendra Multimedia” from Pristina in Sarajevo and Tirana in March and November 2016, respectively; and a guest performance by the Sarajevo National Theatre’ play ”Divlje meso” (“Proud flesh”) in National Theatre in Belgrade, in December last year.
