RCC to Hold Briefing Meeting on SEE2030 Strategy Mid-Term Update

25 May 2026 Sarajevo

The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) is to host a briefing meeting on the SEE2030 Strategy Mid-Term Update on 25 May 2026 at the RCC Secretariat premises in Sarajevo, gathering primarily Ambassadors of the RCC non-SEECP Board Participants and their designated representatives.

The draft Mid-Term Update, developed through a consultative process spanning more than two years with the active involvement of SEECP participants and relevant international partners, was endorsed by the SEE2030 Strategy Monitoring Committee on 5 May 2026 in Sofia, as well as by the SEECP Political Directors. Building on implementation findings, monitoring reports, and analytical inputs from regional and international institutions, the Update also incorporates insights from the SEE Inclusive Growth Index and RCC’s Balkan Barometer and Securimeter surveys. While preserving the Strategy’s original headline targets, the Update sharpens its focus on resilience, inclusive growth, and regional cooperation, responding to evolving challenges facing South East Europe such as climate change, demographic decline and brain drain, disaster risks, and financing gaps, while reinforcing the region’s commitment to sustainable development and stronger regional connectivity.
