Working Group on Recognition of Academic Qualifications (WG RAQ)

  • What We Do

Working Group on Recognition of Academic Qualifications (WG RAQ) is operating under the auspices of the RCC and ERI SEE Secretariat. The participants of the WG RAQ consist of three representatives of the government officials from each of the WB6 ministries responsible for higher education, of which at least one from the ENIC/NARIC centres. Relevant national quality assurance and/or accreditation bodies, higher education institutions, students and national qualification framework are invited to relevant seminars and working group meetings as decided by the WG RAQ.

Objectives

The joint Working Group on Recognition of Academic Qualifications (WG RAQ) in line with the MAP commitments, will work on:

  • Establishing an operational sub-regional network of ENIC/NARIC centres
  • Developing a joint online system to share information, including on higher education institutions, qualifications and decisions taken, available to ENIC/NARIC centres and Ministries in the region
  • Strengthening cooperation and exchange of information between Quality Assurance Agencies in the region

Furthermore, the WG RAQ will monitor and report on the progress on the implementation and results achieved nationally and regionally in relation to the MAP actions aimed at removing obstacles to the recognition of academic qualifications specified above.
