The Second meeting of the Western Balkans’ Six Multiannual Action Plan for the Regional Economic Area (MAP REA) Component Contact Points (CCPs), convened by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), is to be held in Tirana, Albania on 15 May 2018.

The objective of the meeting is to present the results of monitoring on the MAP REA implementation as of mid-April 2018. The meeting will inform the CCPs on the key developments at objective level for the whole region in the four components: Trade; Investment; Mobility; and Digital integration. The reporting, based on inputs received by the economies and further processed by the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) and RCC Secretariats, will also aim to inform the MAP Component Contact Points on the delays and challenges faced during the monitoring and other horizontal aspects in this regard.

To this end, the CEFTA and RCC Secretariats will present the results of monitoring in each component whilst the MAP CCPs will be required to provide updates on the priority activities and steps undertaken in each WB6 economy to implement the deliverables for the upcoming Western Balkans Summits in Sofia and London.
