Regional cooperation in focus of the Western Balkans Summit in Poznan

Regional Cooperation Council  (RCC) takes part in this year’s Western Balkans Summit, held within the Berlin Process series, taking place in Poznan, Poland 3-5 July 2019.

Regional cooperation, connectivity, mobility, Roma Integration, ways to overcome the present regional challenges as well as the European Agenda and the economic growth of the region's economies are to be the focus of this year’s Western Balkan Summit, held within the Berlin Process series, taking place in Poznan, Poland 3-5 July 2019.

The RCC will host a panel titled 'Stepping Up the Regional Transformation Efforts to Advance the EU Integration Path' on 4 July 2019, where Majlinda Bregu, the RCC Secretary General, will present the achievements of the regional cooperation projects achieved since the last Summit, focusing on the implementation of the Multi-Annual Action Plan for Regional Economic Area, SEE 2020 Strategy, and other regional initiatives, as well as share key findings of the organisations survey Balkan Barometer on public and businesses viewpoints. 

The same day, the RCC's Roma Integration project is organizing a panel „Western Balkans Partners Declaration on Roma and EU Enlargement: From Words to Acts“, presenting the Declaration of Western Balkan Partners on Roma Integration within the EU Enlargement Process, by which the governments will make a commitment to continue and enhance efforts for full equality and integration of Roma in their respective societies.

In addition, the Secretary General Bregu will also take part in the ministerial panels and the leaders meeting that is concluding the summit.
