This event, which is to be organized and hosted by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretariat in celebration of the Europe Day, intends to discuss possible ways of active involvement of the National Councils of the European Movement in South East Europe (SEE) in regional cooperation and better communication of European integration. The meeting will discuss ways the European Movement Councils can concretely assist in advancing the accession process by communicating EU enlargement policy in cooperation with the national authorities and through regional and international cooperation.

The meeting is part of RCC Secretariat’s efforts to help foster an open, transparent and regular dialogue with civil society, thus promoting citizens’ participation in public life and in decision-making, while emphasizing the essential values that are shared by the citizens of Europe. The activities of the National Councils of the International European Movement can complement RCC work in this respect.
