Regional Cooperation Council to Mark Its 18th Anniversary
16 February 2026 Sarajevo
The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) will mark its 18th anniversary on 16 February 2026, reflecting on nearly two decades of advancing regional cooperation, stability, and a shared purpose in South East Europe. This milestone is not only an opportunity to acknowledge the progress achieved, but also to reaffirm the importance of cooperation as a strategic choice in a changing regional and global context.
Formally launched at the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) meeting held on 27 February 2008 in Sofia, as the successor to the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, the RCC was conceived as a mechanism for building cooperation. Eighteen years later, it has evolved into a long-term economic, security, social, and political cooperation hub, ensuring continuity of dialogue and joint action even in challenging political times.
The event marking the RCC anniversary will bring together RCC partners, representatives of its participants, international organisations, and members of the diplomatic community.
