07 February 2011-08 February 2011
The first regional PPP capacity building event to be organized under the auspices of the Southeast Europe PPP Network (SEEPN) of the Regional Cooperation Council will take place in Zagreb, on 7-8 February 2011. The conference, co-organized by the Agency for PPP of the Republic of Croatia (as the provisional secretariat of SEEPN) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Team of Specialists on PPPs, intends to tackle major issues concerning PPP development in the region. The participants – regional practitioners and international experts – are planned to discuss PPP project cycles, harmonization of the public procurement and PPP legislation in the region under the joint EU perspective, impacts of financial crisis on PPPs, available PPP toolkits and the existing regional and international frameworks to support PPP development in SEE.
The Southeast Europe PPP Network was established under the auspices of the Regional Cooperation Council with an aim to coordinate the regional exchange of knowledge and expertise on PPPs, propose measures for further development and harmonization of the region’s PPP enabling environment and create prerequisites for successful preparation and implementation of regional PPP projects.
A press release from the conference is available in ENGLISH and CROATIAN.
