The aim of the meeting is to inform all the ICPDR contracting parties, stakeholders, observers and guests about the work of the ICPDR, to make decisions about improving water management in South East Europe, and to address involvement in projects and future possibilities for cooperation. The meeting will provide guidance and prepare decisions for the further work of the ICPDR including its direct involvement in the implementation of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region.

The event will bring together representatives of the European Commission, governments from the region, institutes, state agencies, international associations and organizations, civil society, ICPDR Permanent Secretariat and the Regional Cooperation Council Secretariat.

The event is being co-organised by the ICPDR, currently chaired by Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Regional Cooperation Council Secretariat.
