Western Balkans Roaming Policy Meeting

In line with the implementation of the RCC-developed Multi-Annual Action Plan for Regional Economic Area (REA) and within the activities on Digital Integration Component, the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) in cooperation with the European Commission (EC) is organizing a Regional Meeting on Roaming Policy in the Western Balkans (WB) on 5 April 2018 in Brussels.                

The aim of the meeting is to identify current state of play, planned activities and next steps of the implementation of the Regional Roaming Agreement in order to harmonize roaming policies and further decrease roaming charges in the WB economies.

Participants will also get up to date with the EU-led process of development of the Roadmap to facilitate lowering the costs of roaming, including the state of play and plans for the WB with regards of expected EU-WB Summit in Sofia, planned for May this year.

The meeting will gather representatives from the WB’s line ministries and regulatory authorities, relevant experts from EC’s DG Connect and DG Near as well as the RCC representatives dealing with Connectivity agenda.
