The event that has been organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden in BiH, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), the Academy of Music Sarajevo and the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretariat, is a part of the SIDA funded project “Widening participation on the road to membership.” One of the main aims of this project is to bring the Balkan academies to European standards in higher music education. It will involve students and help them develop contacts and exchange information about standards for musical performance throughout Europe. The student orchestra will consist of 20 selected students from music academies in 18 European countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia.
