Dubrovnik – Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), Amer Kapetanović, participated today in the Dubrovnik Forum 2025, dubbed “Channelling the Change”, organised by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia in Dubrovnik.


In his remarks, the RCC Secretary General Kapetanović underlined that "Regional cooperation has never been optional. It is a general rehearsal before achieving our goals and reaching our destinations. Regional cooperation is where we learn to compromise, build consensus, and share responsibilities. The Common Regional Market is our test, our opportunity, and our bridge to the European Union."


RCC SG Amer Kapetanović took part in the high-level panel discussion “Western Balkans and the Euro-Atlantic Path: Trust, Transparency, Transformation”, focusing on the region’s integration path and the role of cooperation, trust, and accountability in achieving long-term stability. The discussion explored how the region can build stronger foundations for its Euro-Atlantic integration through inclusive dialogue, regional ownership, and dedication to deeper cooperation across political and economic agendas.


On the margins of the Forum, Secretary General Kapetanović met with Martin Dvořák, Minister for European Affairs of Czechia and Nasser Kamel, Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean. Discussions focused on the European integration process and the importance of regional cooperation. Strengthening regional cooperation while completing the process of European integration stands as an important factor for ensuring a long-lasting stability and growth of the whole Europe.
