Western Balkans Ministerial Conference “Lifting Barriers for Sustainable Tourism Development” in focus of two-day events on tourism in the region

Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) is organizing two-day events on tourism in the Western Balkans on 12 and 13 May 2022 in Tirana, Albania.

The main event, Western Balkans Ministerial Conference “Lifting Barriers for Sustainable Tourism Development” which is to take place on 12 May in Tirana, will gather line ministers from the Western Balkans, representatives from European Commission and other relevant stakeholders to discuss the following topics: Standing in the face of COVID 19 adversity; Improving business climate for sustainable investments in tourism; Improving human capital competence in tourism; and Innovation and creativity in service to tourism and vice-versa.

Side event is to take place on 13 May with the Western Balkans Tourism Operators meeting dubbed “Mastering the current challenges in tourism industry”, where tour operators from the region are to meet and discuss tourism industry challenges and the way forward in improving Western Balkans tourism offer.
