Building on the success of the first workshop in Tirana, which fostered dialogue, coordination, and capacity-building, the "2nd Smart Specialisation Strategies Regional Workshop" will concentrate on knowledge transfer and practical lessons from Slovenia. Discussions will feature local insight from the Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development and the University of Ljubljana, among others.

We are also pleased to announce the launch of the Strengthening Regional Smart Specialisation Ecosystems Initiative, a technical assistance programme designed to support teams across the region. Developed in response to priorities identified during the first workshop, the initiative will focus on building capacities, enhancing skills, and providing guidance on effective fundraising strategies. Its goal is to empower region to mobilise resources more efficiently and ensure the long-term sustainability of their projects.
