Seventh meeting of the SEE2030 Strategy Monitoring Committee
05 May 2026 Sofia
The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) is to organise the 7th meeting of the SEE2030 Strategy Monitoring Committee, to be held in Sofia on 5 May 2026.
The meeting will be organised in coordination with, and co-hosted by, the Sofia SEECP Chairmanship-in-Office. It will bring together National Coordinators and delegations from 13 South East European participants, with the aim of reinforcing regional commitment to the SEE2030 Strategy and supporting its translation into concrete, actionable measures.
Discussions are expected to focus on the role of public–private partnerships in the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, under the theme: “Public–Private Partnerships as a Catalyst for SDGs Implementation towards Resilience and Inclusive Growth in South East Europe.”
Chaired by the RCC Deputy Secretary General, the Monitoring Committee is expected to endorse several key regional documents managed, coordinated, and facilitated by the RCC. These include the SEE2030 Mid-Term Update, the South East Europe Inclusive Growth Index Report, and the SEE2030 Mid-Term Implementation Review, covering the period since 2021.
The meeting will further strengthen regional cooperation and advance sustainable development under the SEE2030 Strategy framework, while providing a platform for participating delegations to exchange views on the strategic direction of collaboration in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda in South East Europe.
The Monitoring Committee serves as the primary governance body of the SEE2030 Strategy. It comprises appointed high-level officials at the level of Deputy Minister or State Secretary, or their designates, responsible for coordinating and implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
