IISG consultations in Tirana advance regional security needs and response mapping

Tirana – IISG launched thematic consultations with Western Balkans Six partners to complete the third annual response mapping and initiate the second needs mapping process.
IISG met with Loreta Alla from the Organised Crime Department of the Albanian State Police, Majlinda Kurti from the Counter-Terrorism Department of the Albanian State Police, Selman Lleshi from the Border Security Department, and Idlir Robi from the Ministry of Interior of Albania.
Participants reviewed the 2023 Response Mapping Report, discussed conclusions from the second needs mapping and received updates on the development of the IISG Database. They confirmed their commitment to updating existing needs, identifying new priorities and finalising the third Annual Response Mapping Report.
The consultations highlighted the importance of coordinated planning, accurate needs and response mapping and sustained regional cooperation in addressing shared security challenges across the Western Balkans Six.
