IISG consultations in Sarajevo focus on security needs mapping and database development

Sarajevo – The Integrative Internal Security Governance (IISG) held thematic consultations in Sarajevo to complete the third Annual Response Mapping Report, initiate the second needs mapping process and further develop the IISG Database.

The consultations brought together representatives of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), the Intelligence-Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (OSA), the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Police Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska.

Participants discussed responsibilities and timelines for the second needs mapping, the role of the IISG Database and measures to improve its accessibility, security and usability, including the introduction of a new cybersecurity component.

The consultations reaffirmed participants’ commitment to IISG priorities and agreed timelines, as well as to continued coordination in advancing regional security cooperation across the Western Balkans Six.
