Sarajevo – The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretary General Amer Kapetanović and Ambassador of Germany to Bosnia and Herzegovina Alfred Grannas signed a new German grant supporting the implementation of the RCC Communication Strategy today at the RCC premises in Sarajevo.

The support will ensure consistency in the implementation of RCC’s communication strategy to communicate the results and practical benefits of regional cooperation clearly, keep strengthening public outreach and make complex regional processes more accessible to citizens, partners and stakeholders across South East Europe.

“Germany has been a steadfast supporter of regional cooperation and of the RCC’s work. This support will ensure the continuation of our communication on achievements of regional cooperation and concrete results for people and economies across our region. In a crowded and often fragmented information environment, credible, accessible and evidence-based communication is essential, which is something the RCC always strives for. We are grateful to Germany for recognising this and for continuing to invest in the RCC as a platform for practical cooperation, dialogue and shared progress,” said RCC Secretary General Amer Kapetanović.

Through this support, Germany is reaffirming its long-standing commitment to the RCC and to closer cooperation in South East Europe,” said German Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Alfred Grannas.

The grant valued at EUR 300,000 covers the period from 1 July 2026 to 31 December 2028. Germany has also been a participant in the RCC Board since its inception, contributing to the organisation’s work and its broader mission of advancing cooperation, stability and development across the region.

The renewed support builds on Germany’s continued engagement with the RCC and will contribute to keeping the visibility of regional achievements strong by communicating the value regional cooperation brings to citizens, businesses and institutions.
