Sarajevo – The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) welcomed the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Igli Hasani, at its headquarters in Sarajevo today, where he met with RCC Secretary General Amer Kapetanović.
The visit provided an opportunity to reaffirm Albania’s strong support for the RCC and to discuss key regional priorities, including advancing the South East Europe 2030 (SEE2030) Strategy, Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, Common Regional Market (CRM), connectivity, digital transformation, and the region’s EU path.
RCC Secretary General Kapetanović expressed appreciation for Albania’s continued engagement in regional initiatives. “We are honoured to welcome Minister Hasani today. Albania’s dedication to regional cooperation has been clearly demonstrated through the rich calendar of activities during its recently concluded SEECP Chairmanship. As the RCC, we stand ready to work with Albania and all our participants in building a region that is more integrated, connected and competitive, but also more sustainable and resilient, and fully integrated in the Single Market and the EU.”
Minister Hasani underscored Albania’s firm commitment to regional cooperation and highlighted the RCC’s pivotal role in supporting reforms that bring the Western Balkans closer to the European Union. He stressed that Albania views the RCC as a key partner in promoting dialogue, fostering economic integration and ensuring that the entire region moves forward together.
During the meeting, discussions focused on ongoing and future initiatives where the RCC and Albania can work closely, including implementing the CRM, Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, SEE2030 and strengthening regional resilience in times of geopolitical challenges.
