Ministers Đurić and Starović Reaffirm Serbia’s Continued Support for the Work and Mandate of the Regional Cooperation Council

Belgrade – Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretary General Amer Kapetanović visited Belgrade today, where he met with Marko Đurić, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Nemanja Starović, Minister for European Integration of Serbia. Both ministers reaffirmed Serbia’s continued support for the work and mandate of the Regional Cooperation Council, recognising its contribution to strengthening cooperation and stability in the region.

Discussions with Minister Đurić focused on broader regional relations, priorities for regional cooperation in 2026, and the role of the RCC as a key platform for dialogue, coordination, and trust-building in the region. Both officials underlined the importance of sustained regional engagement in a complex political and economic context.

In the meeting with Minister Starović, the focus was Serbia’s European integration process, the role of regional cooperation in supporting the EU path, and the implementation of the Common Regional Market as part of the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans. The meeting highlighted the importance of maintaining momentum in regional reforms and ensuring alignment between regional initiatives and EU priorities.

Secretary General Kapetanović reaffirmed the RCC’s commitment to advancing practical regional cooperation and delivering results that bring tangible benefits to citizens and economies across the region. He emphasised the RCC’s role in facilitating dialogue and supporting regional alignment on issues of common interest.
