The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) is to patron the Best Student Film award  at the Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF) for the 5th time and since its inception in 2017.

This year , RCC’s Western Balkans Youth Lab Project (WBYL) also seeks to support the participation of young women and men from the Western Balkans at the 27th edition of Sarajevo Film Festival, scheduled to take place in Sarajevo from 13th to 20th August 2021.

WBYL will host the participants the festival week, get them to meet each other, exchange views and experiences and take part at the SFF, including movie screenings, workshops and other relevant festival activities. 

Sarajevo Film Festival is the leading international film festival in the region, recognized by both film professionals and the wider audience. The Competition Programme – Student Film, championed by RCC, aims at promoting films made by students from regional film schools, faculties and art academies. With this additional section of the Competition Programme, Sarajevo Film Festival provides a new platform for the training of young, talented and future film professionals at the very beginning of their careers.  The programme focuses on feature films, documentaries and animated films up to 60 minutes that were created within the teaching process of regional film schools.
