The 3rd Regional Conference ‘Industry Energy and Environmental Protection in South East Europe’, Kopaonik, Serbia
The event that is to be organized by the Society of Thermal Engineers of Serbia and Serbian Energy Efficiency Agency, with support of the RCC Secretariat, will gather representatives of responsible ministries, relevant national bodies and agencies, international organizations, energy companies, institutes and universities from the South East European region in order to discuss energy policies, legislation and energy efficiency programs; energy efficiency at different consuming sectors; and renewable energy sources and technologies to reduce negative environmental impacts of energy activities. During the event, the RCC Secretariat will present its role in developing regional cooperation focusing on the energy sector.

Constitutive Meeting of RCC Task Force on Culture and Society, Cetinje, Montenegro
The meeting, organized by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretariat, will mark the formal establishment of the RCC Task Force on Culture and Society, opening of the Task Force Secretariat and appointment of the Chair and Co-Chair of the Task Force.
The event will gather high-level officials from respective governmental institutions of the RCC members from South East Europe, and representatives of the Council of Europe and the European Commission, who are members of the RCC Task Force on Culture and Society.
The aim of the Task Force on Culture and Society is to promote regional cooperation in the sphere of culture by creating a platform for dialogue of relevant stakeholders. The premises of the Secretariat will be in Cetinje, Montenegro.

Implementation of Single European Sky in South East Europe (ISIS) stakeholder consultation meeting, Brussels, Belgium
The event is being co-organized by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Mobility and Transport and the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretariat.
The meeting will inform on the support provided by ISIS Programme and the progress achieved; obtain feedback from stakeholders regarding the current status of the programme and further improvements and/or changes needed; and provide input for the meeting of the ISIS Governing Body to be held in September 2011 in Croatia.
The event will bring together representatives of national authorities responsible for air traffic, civil and military counterparts from South East Europe, as well as relevant international organizations.

RCC Annual Meeting, Becici, Montenegro
The third Annual Meeting of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) will be held in Montenegrin town of Becici near Budva, on 28 June 2011. It will be co-organized by the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) Chairmanship-in-Office of Montenegro and the RCC Secretariat.
The RCC Secretary General, Hido Biscevic, will present the organization’s Annual Report on regional cooperation in South East Europe 2010-2011 with emphasis on the results achieved in the implementation process of the RCC Strategy and Work Programme 2011-2013. The report is expected to be endorsed by the meeting participants, who will also exchange views on developments in regional cooperation in South East Europe within the framework of RCC and challenges ahead.
The RCC Annual Meeting meets at the level of Senior Civil Servants or above. It is open to other countries, international organizations and partners as guests upon request to and/or the initiative of the Secretary General following the consent of the members of the RCC Board.

Meeting of SEECP Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Becici, Montenegro
The 2011 meeting of ministers of foreign affairs of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) participating States will be organized by Montenegro, who currently holds the rotating SEECP Chairmanship-in-Office. It will discuss SEECP activities and the current situation in the region.
The ministers are expected to endorse the Annual Report of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretary General on regional co-operation in South East Europe 2010-2011.

Workshop for South East European countries on countering the financing of terrorism, Belgrade, Serbia
The event is jointly organized by the Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED), the Southeast European Cooperative Initiative Centre on combating trans-border crime (SECI Center) and the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and will be hosted by the Government of Serbia.
The workshop will focus on terrorism financing in South East Europe (SEE), and in particular, on the links between terrorism financing and organised crime. It will bring together representatives of law enforcement agencies and financial intelligence units from SEE, as well as representatives of international, regional and sub-regional organizations.
The participants will discuss regional typologies and trends for the financing of terrorism, including observed links between terrorist and criminal organizations, and tools to detect, disrupt and investigate terrorism financing. The aim is to enhance interagency cooperation at domestic and regional level.
The meeting is a follow-up event to the workshop held last October in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Summit of the SEECP Heads of State and Government, Sveti Stefan, Montenegro
The meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) participating States, to be organized by the SEECP Chairmanship-in-Office of Montenegro, will be held on 30 June 2011, in Sveti Stefan.
The Summit is expected to endorse the Annual Report of the Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) on regional co-operation in South East Europe 2010-2011.
The summit will mark the end of the one-year rotating Montenegrin SEECP Chairmanship-in-Office, which will be taken over by Serbia.

Meeting of Steering Group on Regional Strategy on Justice and Home Affairs, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
The meeting will assess implementation of the Regional Strategic Document 2011-2013 on Justice and Home Affairs and its Action Plan, as well as review, update and consolidate regional strategic choices, challenges and priorities. This first in a series of meetings of the Steering Group on Regional Strategy (SGRS) on justice and home affairs (JHA) will be held jointly with a meeting of the IPA Multi Beneficiary Strategy Working Group on Justice and Home Affairs.
The purpose of the meeting, co-chaired by the Regional Cooperation Council Secretariat and the European Commission, is to establish the reporting mechanism on regional activities and a regional monitoring tool, as well as to confirm priority sectors to be financed under the 2013 IPA Multi-Beneficiary programme in the JHA area.
SGRS consist of representatives of the participating States of the South-East European Cooperation Process and of international and regional organizations. It will continue to regularly meet under the coordination of the RCC Secretariat.

Preparatory Meeting for the Ministerial Conference on the Regional Strategy for Research and Development for Innovation for Western Balkans, Zagreb, Croatia
This meeting, organised by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretariat, will be an opportunity for a substantial discussion on future scope of activities and optimal module for implementation of the Regional Strategy for Research and Development for Innovation (RSRDI) for Western Balkans.
The meeting will gather representatives of respective ministries from the Western Balkans countries, representatives of the World Bank and European Commission, as well as representatives of the RCC Secretariat.
The objective of RSRDI project is to interconnect national research and innovation systems, thus promoting competitiveness of the region. The RSRDI ministerial conference is envisaged to take place in November 2011, in Belgrade, Serbia.
