Regional conference on role of inspectors in education quality assurance, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
This two-day regional event is to be organized by the Regional Cooperation Council Secretariat and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The main goal of this first-of-its-kind conference is to discuss the inspectors’ contribution to modernizing educational systems in South East Europe. The role, status, competences, efficiency and activities of education inspectors, along with the modalities to improve the transparency of their appointments, will be elaborated during the meeting. The participants will include representatives of ministers of education and education inspectorates from South East Europe as well as representatives of relevant international organizations and stakeholders.

Workshop – Reducing emissions from the Energy Sectors in the Energy Community, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
The workshop will be organized by the Energy Community Secretariat and the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretariat. It will consider implementation of environmental requirements of the Treaty establishing the Energy Community both legally binding and the ones on the level of best endeavour, outputs of the study completed to assess potential for emissions reductions in the region, some case studies on the ground of environmental improvements and financing possibilities for project preparation and implementation. It will bring together representatives of national authorities of the Contracting Parties to the Treaty establishing the Energy Community and experts dealing with negative environmental impact of energy activities.

Regional workshop on national coordination and regional cooperation in counter-terrorism matters in South East Europe, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
The overall aim of the workshop is to bring together representatives from South East Europe and international, regional and sub-regional organisations and mechanisms, thus providing a forum for discussing and exploring ways to enhance their cooperation and coordination in counter-terrorism matters.
This event will be co-organized by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretariat, Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED), the Southeast European Cooperative Initiative Regional Center for Combating Trans-Border crime (SECI Center) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), with support of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Implementation Task Force (CTITF). The event is being supported by the governments of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey and Austria.
